My name is Kyle Logan, and I’m a film critic who’s been writing about movies since grad school (I have one of those extremely useful master’s degrees in philosophy). I’m a member of the Chicago Indie Critics and write for Cultured Vultures, Screen Anarchy, Chicago Reader, and more.
I also organize a Queer Film Challenge on Letterboxd. I’m especially interested/invested in horror, animation, and genre films written and directed by queer people and women.
On this site you can find my reviews of new and old movies, lists of favorite movies, and some more in depth essays. Tones will vary significantly from more academic essays to list blurbs like one line Letterboxd reviews. If you’d like to get a sense of my sensibilities, you can check out my canon.
